Visit these Wisconsin World War II memorials
The five memorials pictured below are just five of the 142 memorials
currently being catalogued by the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs.
The entire catalogue will eventually be available online on the WDVA site
by Memorial Day 2003.

Douglas County
Memorial dedicated to Richard I. Bong, America's leading Ace of World War
II. Located in Poplar, one block east of Highway 2.

Jackson County
The Mitchell Red Cloud Memorial located at Hwy 54 near Komensky.

Grant County
Granite pillar containing names of local residents serving in U.S. Military.
East side lists veterans of Civil War, Spanish American War, and World War
I. North and West sides list veterans of of World War II and Korean War. The
South side is dedicated to the memory of the men and women who served in the
Armed Forces from Cuba City area. Donated by Harry T. Andrew. Memorial located
in the City Park of Cuba City.

Iowa County
Memorial located at 139 S. Iowa Street, near the public library in Mineral
Point.

Dane County
Memorial Library on the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Uncovering
the Enemy
Focusing on military intelligence and surveillance from World War I through
the Vietnam War, the exhibit includes a German "Enigma" encryption
device, aerial cameras, communications equipment and interactive displays.
Exhibit can be viewed
on-line or at the Wisconsin Veterans Museum.
