portraitYou suppress a lot of this stuff because it's just – you don't like to revisit it. It's just... it just hurts too much. the body and the brain has a way of kind of veiling things when you're witnessing trauma that's just so sever or so odd that you go 'What?' But then as you revisit it later on you have a chance to.. you know your psyche starts dealing with it all over again and now you try to comprehend it and it comes out and you try to deal with it. That's one of those demons. You know, it don't mean a thing, that was another term we used. It don't mean a thing. Meaning that you're trying to sluff it off. It does mean a lot to ya, but you're just trying to say don't mean a thing, let it go. You know, you can get through it, it's alright. Some people turn to drugs, some people turn into alcoholics, some people committed suicide... and the rest of us just sucked it up and went home.
