It's difficult, when you're a soldier, to... have decisions made in Washington. As we found out later, President at the time was even making decisions what targets would be bombed. In business life now you call that micromanaging. And I know the implications. And I, you know, you can’t go part way in a war. Never commit American fire power, young men and women, unless you're prepared to stand behind them. Because war's a terrible thing. And I - for some reason, some people think that soldiers like it. I don't know where that got started, but let me dissabuse you of that right now. It is awful, awful waste... anytime. It's always - it's easy to look back and be smart. It's hard to be involved in history while it's happening and having the perspective and the distance.
