Well, I have an interesting family history. My great, great grandfather, Albert Honsten enlisted and served during the civil war. He was an immigrant from Berlin Prussia. Was not yet a US citizen. Became a US citizen three years after he was discharged. My grandfather, Joe Moizes and all three of his brothers served during WWI. My father, Marty Freedman, was in the Army Air Corps during WWII. His brother served as well. My mother's brother Emmanuel, my uncle Emmanuel, was a marine pilot. He was shot down over Okinawa and was missing in action. Subsequently his body was recovered. And I served in Vietnam, and during that same period my brother Manny, who is my uncle Emmanuel's namesake, who was a marine officer at the time, served at Jerry Point, North Carolina.
